"nous nous reverrons, mes minx ingénieux petit." Waldo sounded slightly inebriated. And little wonder: In the hand that wasn't clenched around Carmen's wrist, he was holding a class of vodka with icecubes in it. Few things are more dangerous than a spy. An only-somewhat-inebriated spy is one of them.

"Wally!... How nice to see you! You going to take me in? After all our time together?" Carmen pouted a little, coming a bit closer to try and flirt out of her problems.

Waldo thought about it, and just held up the drink for her. "You're looking cold. Need a drink?" He asked flatly.

"Oh Wally... the last time you offered me one of your little vices, I stole them all." Carmen smiled a bit, taking the glass. There was a shot's worth of vodka in the bottom of it. The drink wasn't watered down, either. The ice hadn't been there long enough to melt.

"I'd like to see you try to steal all the alcohol here like you did with my cigarettes, ma coquine ingénieux petit." Waldo smirked a bit, while Carmen drained the glass.

Carmen shifted the glass of ice onto the jar in the hand Waldo had captured and took an ice cube from the bottom of it. She rested the ice on her lips and looked at Waldo with the air of a challenge. It wasn't supposed to make sense, just put together a couple of thoughts in his head for him. Her lips, a crystal clear piece of ice soaked in vodka, and the slightly inebriated French spy's very pretty Russian captive. Her tactic was effective, though at what exactly was anyone's guess.

Waldo stepped forward, while Carmen subtly shifted back into the wall, to let him feel like he had the power there. Subversion and subtlety. She learned it from her mother, of course. Waldo brushed is fingers through her stringy hair, as though only considering her well-being. He brushed aside her hand from her lips, and leaned forward to give her a kiss. His hand loosened from around her wrist while he stole the smug look right off of her lips. Mostly because he had a reason to be smug.

"You are under arrest, Mademoiselle Carmen." He stepped back to show her that he'd placed handcuffs on her once again, and even having had a drink or three, he was still a very skilled spy.
"Did you think me a fool? Non, now let's get you a towel and consider why you are after my good friend Martin's files. Have you not put him through enough?" Waldo glared a bit, having apparently lost interest in her faux flirtations.

"Such a pity, you're a good kisser." Carmen remarked with a little bit of a mocking, childish pout. "I would love to, Wally, but I am doing this for the good of both our departments." Carmen smiled and ducked, sweeping Waldo's legs out from under him.Once he hit the ground, his hair ruffled and his hat flew across the room, leading to him looking quite bewildered after a solid smack on the back of the head from the floor. Carmen pinned his arms with her knees so he couldn't fight back and looked down at him, leaning down to return his earlier kiss. She ran her hands over his coat, opening it up to check the inner pockets for keys. "Now, where are they...?" She grumbled more to herself than anything.

"Agents don't carry their keys. Their partners do." Waldo smirked. Carmen didn't know who his partner was, as he tended to work alone in the actual field. Who would he trust the keys to?

"Ah, you clever, useless little..." she grumbled, visibly frustrated but still smirking. She always appreciated a challenge. Now she knew why that smug look she wore always got on his nerves so much.

"No matter. Sorry you're going to have a headache, but at least it won't be because of the hangover." She hit him on the temples. Unconsciousness was instantaneous. She picked up his hat and rested it over his eyes before picking up her jar of information and fleeing the scene.

Carmen dashed away, invigorated by the shot of vodka, if nothing else. She ran up the stairs, shoulder-checking anyone in her way on the way out. At about the tenth floor below sea level, she was nearly cornered, but there were windows. That was a good sign.

"Stop right there, Carmen!" The familiar voice, on the other hand, was not.
